The Padres traded him for "a player to be named later or cash". Nice. 
With Jesse Orosco you get a lefty that tears apart opposing lefties. No more, no less. Should be great in the postseason.

I read in the recent TSN that Orosco has a verbal agreement with the Padres' GM Kevin Towers that if he doesn't retire next season he will pitch for the Padres. He said that if he plays next season, it will only be in San Diego.
Thats good to hear, cause the Padres will be in the playoff hunt next season.
