Well, I think Bush wants to do what is right here. He doesn't neccessarily want to declare war on anyone. But, whoever did this and the government that possibly sheltered them - they are declaring war on us.

I do not believe that anyone has officially declared war on anyone. Bush has called the attacks "an act, not of terrorists, but of war", which insinuates that Bush is believes that these acts are the equivalent of declaring war. The press has been using the tems "an act of war" a lot, which it really is, but as far as i know there has been no official declaration of war...but im sure there will be soon.

I'm still in kind of a shock. It's unbelievable that something like this would happen in this country.

What kind of sickens me is these guys actually got their pilot training in the U.S. They used the U.S.'s own resources to hurt us.

im still in shock too...i mean, ive read and researched pearl harbor and ww2, ive written a 10 page research paper on WW2, including pearl harbor, i was actually at the pearl harbor memorial the day of the 55th anniversary. and the whole time im mentally telling myself 'im glad that things arent like this today, im glad this is all behind us'. and then this happens. i just dont really know how to react.

All I know is the U.S. will sadly never be the same again.

And I know that after Tuesday, to be honest I'm very afraid to go on a commercial airplane. Because you never know if the person sitting next to you will make sure this becomes the last moments of your life.

I'm not afraid to go on a commercial airline, that doesn't mean I'd go on one within the next week though. This is the first time in like 8 years that a US airplane has been highjacked.

Yeah I don't remember the last one either.

At least not the last one that happened in U.S. airspace.
