What do you guys think is the worst call in Sports history. I've got one:
(NFL)

Steelers v. Lions(???) a few years back
Just before overtime, the coin toss.

Jerome Bettis: "I call heads"

Ref: "Tails it is"

JB: "No I called heads"

Ref: "Heads it is. Detroit, you have won the coin toss."
-------------------------
I remember hearing Jerome say heads, then the ref saying he called tails. Now that was one dumb mistake by the ref! (By the way, it cost Pittsburgh the game, and their playoff spot)

How about Pittsburgh's playoff game this year? When someone "ran" into the kicker... It was more like a guy trying to block the kick, and then Nedney "tripping" over him.

Hitchcock's strike 3 that was called a ball the pitch before a game winning homer was hit in game 1 of the 1998 World Series. Yes, I hold grudges.

What about in the playoffs a few years ago when the kid reached out to catch the homerun! That made me so mad. How come they always help the Yankees???

lol... you guys are funny.

I remember a play years back in a Chargers/Dolphins playoff game that we lost 22-21 or 22-20 in which Natrone Means was running and he was clearing out of bounds and they let him run for more yards.

What about that thing in the Giants/49ers game this year? They could have gotten another chance to win the game or something.

Superbowl two years ago:

When the Pats scored the last field goal to win, there was time left on the clock, enough to run another play.

Yeah. Stoyo was a choker. It shouldn't have come to that. Means did that more than once but that one time it was so evident. I WISH we had instant replay back then.

I must have been the only like 11 year old to have a letter drafted to Paul Taglieabue (however you spell that).
