Hey, congrats, Patrick! The 'Phins finally got one! Now that pick will count for one in the Pick League!

Now, the question is, how many do they have left to win this year?

Thanks Brian. We were all jumping around. I can now sympathize with people who have to root for teams this bad. From the outside, looking in, if you are rooting for a winning team, you might think - who cares? They're 1-13, it's only 1 win. But, now, I know that that 1 win really does mean something. Cleo Lemon played a very good game.

As far as how many they have to win... I don't think it matters. I'd take next week against the Patriots, though. If we lose just 1 of the last 2 games, we clinch the first overall pick in the draft.

I agree, Patrick. I have been experiencing the woes this year as well, and it is never any fun.

Go get them Pats!

Yeah, instead, it will have to be their 2nd win.

How can you guys be happy about this!! We were almost to see two major events happen in the same season! Patriots going undefeated, and the Dolphins going completely DEFEATED! Sorry if your a phins fan Patrick...Mercury Morris killed all my respect for that team.

That seems kind of odd to me. I mean, if that's all it would take... are you sure there weren't any other issues in addition to that? Maybe you didn't have respect for the team to begin with? I don't see how it's possible for any one player to kill the respect for a team or franchise (I'm not sure if you are referring to the 1972 Dolphins or the Dolphins franchse as a whole, from the beginning, through the end of time). Either way... I mean, if that's the case, then that would probably go for every modern era professional sports franchise, whether you are referencing his drug charges or his comments relating to the Patriots. Neither drug charges (which are very serious and I am in no way minimizing them) nor strong opinions are particularly rare and I'm sure that, as time goes by, at least one member of each of the Patriots championship teams will have one of them, if they don't already, from the perspective of people outside of the franchise's general fan base. That's just the way it works. Too many people on a team not to.

The dolphins lost me this year due to their attitudes in general. Coming from the past and present players. Turning on their current coach no matter how poorly they are playing is just ridiculous. The mercury morris event ruined the entire 1972 Miami Dolphins rep as well. If it wasnt for this years patriots team, nobody would be hearing about the 1972 Miami Phins. Of course those hardcore football fans will remember Shula and the team, but they are getting noticed again because of the patriots. All im saying is they should be thanking the patriots, not throwing around a series of insults. Lets hear a rap about that M.M. (M. Morris not the rapper Eminem)

I don't agree with this statement. Every year, when the last undefeated team gets a loss, whether it is the Colts, the Patriots, or whoever, we always get reminded of the "cork popping" by the '72 Dolphins. Whether you like the record the Dolphins hold or not, it will always be on the backburner.
