I think it's so tightly packed this year that there really is no clear-cut favorite. Most people think of the Red Wings, but they've had their share of struggles after a monster first half. I would say it's probably between them, the Sharks and Anaheim in the west and in the East, well, all you really gotta do is get in to have a chance. I think there's something like 10 pts separating 1st from 9th. Anybody can beat anybody. Just a matter of who gets hot.

Well Detroit does have a habit of choking early and they haven't played like a #1 for most of the second half of the season. I'd still put my money on the Red Wings, but you never know with them.

Yeah, they've collapsed early on a couple of occassions. In 2006 they lost as a #1 seed to the #8 Oilers and in '03 they lost as a #2 seed to the #7 Ducks, both of whom reached the Stanley Cup Finals those two years.

How about that Flames-Sharks game last night? Four minutes in the Sharks had a 3-0 lead only for Calgary to mount a huge comeback.

Montreal! As long as they keep up the passing and Koivu's foot doesn't explode I think they have a good chance!
