my pic would for the best player individually is Lebron James. He is big, he is fast, he is strong, and packed with talent.

I think that kobe, and lebron are the best. But also the most under rated player is Baron Davis of Golden State. And the most over rated player is dwayne wade

I know what you yall are thinkin. How can this fool sit there and say Tracy is the best. But really he is. I mean think about it, When he is healthy he can put up huge numbers. Not only that but he shares the ball and gets more assist then any shooting guard/ small foward. On top of all that he is versatile and can do just about anything. Put a few more good players around him and then boom, championship team. If he would stayed with the magic he could of had his ring by now.

i know what you mean, tracy mcgrady is one of my favorite players.........he could of gotten his ring either way, yeah he had a better chance with the magic since there in the east............but think about some of the times they came really close to doing damage in the west, its all most sad

LeBron averages at least two assist per game more than T-Mac...he's a SF..and if the Cavs had at least one more 20 pt. scorer we'd win the championship...we are already pretty good defensively..we just need someone to take a little bit of the scoring load off LBJ

What some people fail to realize is the question that was posed. Not who would you build your team around right now, but rather who is the best in the game right now. The BEST in the game right now is Kobe Bean Bryant. Kobe is the one who has 3 rings (yes he wont those with Shaq, but neither would have one with out the other), he guards the best player or player that has the most impact for the opposing team every time he steps on the court, he cant beat you off the dribble, the pull up, or free throw line. He is a relentless player who wants to be the best and works to be the best.

Chris Paul is the best player in the NBA. James and Bryant are very close but Paul is no contest. That kid is going to be one of the top 3 guards of all time before he is done.
