I still have not picked up a new gaming system, never had the time. I'm thinking of either Gamecube or PS2...

Any recommendations?

I'm leaning towards Gamecube for a new Zelda game right now.

Id say PS2 just cause I am a huge supporter of the Playstation, but if you like games such as Mario, Sonic, Zelda, etc...then go with the GC

Just avoid the X-Box

Why is that?

I'd take X box over the others any day

I'd go with X-box or PS2.

Well, you asked for people's opinions.

All three are basically good. I have a Gamecube with Madden 2002, Madden 2003, Mario Sunshine, Spider-man, Super Smash Brothers Melee and Liugi's Mansion. I liked all of those games. If you like the Nintendo licenses, buy a Gamecube. They say that the XBox is slightly better graphic wise, but what's that worth with no Zelda?

Well Microsoft just bought Rareware(made Goldeneye & Perfect Dark) so only one of their games will come out for Gamecube. So if I ranked them it would be PS2, X-box, and then Gamecube. Plus PS2 and X-box can both play DVDs which is a plus because you don't have to buy a DVD player, I don't understand why Nintendo always wants to be different, like when they stayed with cartridges for the N64.

Isn't Zelda going to be cel-shaded though?

I like X-box. Nothing beats some good four player Halo action while at a friend's house. I enjoy it even though I'm horrible at that game.

I think Pat basically summed it up: if you like the Nintendo licences, get a GC, otherwise, dont. Personally, Id get the PS2 just to play the Final Fantasy Series, then wait until the GC is super cheap and buy one off of eBay
