Hi, welcome to the first real post at the Martial Arts forum at SportsForums...
Okay, lets get down to business . Here are the questions...
What discipline(s) do you study and what's your rank?
I guess if I start this I better answer it...
I have taken Martial Arts before but had to leave for personal reasons I recently (last couple of months) started again. I am at this time a Yellow Belt. Yeah, I know not very high but I am learning .
Looking forward to talking with everyone and learning from you.

| A few years ago I stopped taking martial arts after taking it for about 5 or 6 years. I was a black belt, but it was only basic stuff that they were teaching us. It wasn't the greatest quality of teaching, but I did learn. I was thinking about getting into a actual good martial arts place, but I haven't done it yet. |

Thia Kickboxing ... as for rank... sorry, I studied under traditional methods where 'ranks' didn't exist.
It was a close branch of Muay Thia.
Sadly, a serious knee injury ended it all

You Should Try It!!
Although, I wouldn't suggest you start with Muay Thia, if your only a yellow belt (and this is your first time in the arts). You might find it a wee-bit more physically abusive than you'd desire to put your body through
First, learn the disciplines, techniques, and respect... than jump into Muay Thia.
Or, start with an easier type of Thia kickboxing.
A friend of mine went over to Thialand a few years back, and bought a 'black-market' video tap of and 'underground Muay Thia kickboxing' match.... trust me, it was anything but pretty. It had guys breaking arms, smatching knees, and all that stuff.... and, all unprotected... pure hand-to-hand and leg-to-leg fighting.
So, you haven't mentioned what type your involved in... only that you are a yellow belt. What specific art are you in?
Later.

Hi.
I have been going to Ju-jitsu for 6 Months now, and I will be taking my orange belt in a week.
I have also been going to Judo for 2 years, but that was 5 years ago. It helped a lot when I have to learn those throwing techniques in ju-jitsu.
I have been going to karate for 2 Months, but didn't have time for, as I go to gymnastics too.
I have also recently had a quite painful knee injury, as I jumped up into the air, and some idiot ran into me, so I fell on my left knee! Quite embarrasing.
Cheers!
