center field soccer has to be really tough
up and down offense and defense for 90 minutes not including overtime...crazy _________________ "If you are going to argue about statistics, then you BETTER have the statistics right."

That's a hard question to answer. A goalie in either soccer or hockey isn't the most physically demanding position in sports - seeing that you don't have to be constantly moving like the rest of your team - but I believe it's by far the most stressful position - one mistake could easily cost you the game. A pitcher or quarterback can make a mistake or two during a game and be ok - in fact, it's almost expected for them to make at least one mistake a game resulting in an interception (or bad pass) or home-run. The goalies for each sport don't have that luxury. Their games, a often do, end up as a 1-0 win for the other team because of their mistake. _________________ Life Without Sports Isn't Worth Living! |

That's a good question and after some thought i've decided to go with a soccer goalkeeper. Just cuz they have a large range of net to protect.
As I see it being the most difficult is when it's the World Cup and the game ends up going to shoot outs. |

In the AFL a rover would have to be among the most athletic people in world sport.
The reason why is AFL grounds can be as much as 200-300m long, and They are like a Centre in Basketball they take part in all that is vital to their team whether it is offence, defence or at the breakdown. Only difference is that they metres they cover is so much greater and they play over the course of 80 minutes, not 60
I have played much sport in my time, but trying to play that position was beyond my fitness _________________ Lucas Neill Superstar |

Quarterback is the hardest mentally
Offensive line is the hardest Physically
Football is the roughest sport overall _________________ If you train hard, you'll not only be hard, you'll be hard to beat.

Naw, I've played goalie before and its the most nerve racking postion in sports. I mean, didn't a goalie in Europe get shot for giving up a goal?
And rugby is rougher than football, but wrestling is the most physically demanding. All that drilling, conditioning, and weight cutting. Plus 6 minutes on the mat will really wear you out. |

Some people are better at certain sports (wrestling) and never go that whole 6 minutes because we... i mean they pin those guys in 1 min or less _________________ If you train hard, you'll not only be hard, you'll be hard to beat.

ok...overall, i cant think of ~the~ hardest position to play out of any sport. but being a basketball/soccer player, i think that a center in basketball and either a keeper or midfielder is the hardest in soccer. _________________ hello delicious banana |

That is midfield buddy but I knew what you meant !!!
I think the hardest is Kicker, I know you are laughing BUT
If a person goes to block, they could miss and tear the Bejeebers out of the kickers leg _________________ LETS GO BUFFALO
