I would have to say that I can't really place "the" hardest position in all of sports. However, I think of the wrestlers that I have seen, in high school, college, and Olympic wrestlers, I feel they probably have some of the most challenging training in all of sports. They train for hours and just seem to be in great shape. I also know that in baseball though being a short stop or center fielder would be tough. I think this because to play either of those positions you have to be fast and have strong arms. Then comes the hitting. Hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in sports. It is a scientific fact. Hitting a round object (the ball) with another round object (the barrel of a bat) when the ball is moving not in a straight line but at a downward angle moving at a fast speed is the hardest thing to do in sports based upon physics. And that's not even counting breaking pitches and oother forms of offspeed pitches. I've never played football but I know people that do and have. I know from them it takes quite the toll on the body. I mean those are just three examples I've come up with. This is exactly why I can't decide exactly what is "the" toughest position in all of sports is to play. So I decided some of the toughest positions in my opinion would have to suffice.

the hardest position in any sport is with out adoubt the openside flanker in rugby union. short sprints for 8o minutes , tackling and trying to recover the ball , often having head wounds and injures. it takes one tough person to compete at the top level in this sport let a lone that position. take a look at that rugby side called the all blacks! one of the most feared sporting sides in the world!

I think standing at the plate in MLB, and trying to get a hit.

goalie in lacrosse or soccer. pitcher in baseball and probably catcher. you have to sit leaned back all game and you also have to be able to read the batter so you can calll the right pitch and also be able to jump up very fast to get a pop up, wild pitch, bunts, and cover the plate for when someon tries running hme

The toughest postion in sport would have to be a centre in the Ausralian football league other wise known as the AFL . They run 120 minutes straight while getting tackeled and smashed around . Rugby and soccer have got nothing on the AFL . GO RICHMOND

Their are only 2 sports that i play competitively and its volleyball and basketball.

For me the hardest position for both sport is the one that makes/creates plays and these are the

setter - for volleyball
point guard - for basketball

having a good player that can make situation easier for his/her teamates is better than having a big man that can spike or throw down an alley-oop. Bottom line - the team with the most points at the end wins irregardless of ow many dunks or spikes.
