I say the SEC not only bc my teams play in it but bc we are the most devoted conference, our fans are alot more diehard in my opinion. We are always the toughest teams to play... and we play each other week after week, these teams have more hate for each other than any other conference!!!! _________________ NCAA Football- Alabama Crimson Tide NCAA Basketball- Alabama Crimson Tide

I beg to differ. The ACC is the toughest conference this year. New teams; Miami and Virgina Tech, they'll bring more of a competition. As for fans, i'm not sure. The ACC has 8 teams that could make a bowl games.
But what do i know. |

I agree with 70'sguy and Hickory that the SEC is the toughest conference. In my view, they have 3 teams that can contend for a national title (Florida, LSU, Georgia). Plus Tennessee is always a tricky team to beat. I also think that Alabama could sneak back up into the top of the SEC standings. _________________ Indians: 15-19

plus you have to look at it this way... football is a way of life down here. Things close down on saturdays for college games... ppl dont care about pro mainly bc were soo involved in the universities! We have some of the most heated rivalries in the nation (AL/AUB, FLA/FSU, FLA/GA, FLA/TEN, AL/TEN, AUB/GA, GA/TENN, LSU/FLA) these fans and teams hate each other to the point where it has divided families and broke up marriages. That has to play a huge factor!!! _________________ NCAA Football- Alabama Crimson Tide NCAA Basketball- Alabama Crimson Tide

But you can say the same for the SEC, we have 3 teams that are legit national champion contenders (LSU, Georgia, Florida), 5 top 25 teams (LSU, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and Auburn), and again aruably the most heated rivalry in all college ball... the bama/auburn rivalry, and 1/2 of the second most heated rivalry... the florida/florida state game!!! we also have 2 legit heisman candidates in green and cadillac like i have already mentioned... arguably the best coach in all of the ncaa in Nick Saban (the head coach of the LSU tigers) and in my own personal opinion the 2 greatest college coaches to ever coach (Paul "Bear" Bryant, and Steve Spurrier) both made their names in the SEC... you cant argue w/ the SEC's dominance!!! WE ARE THE TOUGHEST AND BEST CONFRENCE IN THE NCAA!!! _________________ NCAA Football- Alabama Crimson Tide NCAA Basketball- Alabama Crimson Tide

I think the Big 12. Texas-Oklahoma, a good rivalry, it also has KU, K-state, Mizzou Texas Tech, I think that is one of the hardest conferences. _________________ Great Football Talk!-- www.thenflforum.com |
