Vince, I don't feel the same way about our name. I have always hated the name.
Here is what the old time Italians were like. My fathers parents, from Italy, Naples, were named Vincent and Ella. My father was one of 5 brothers. He and his brothers had 9 kids. 5 named Vincent, 4 named Ella.
What imagination, eh?
When we were together there was mass confusion. Some one said, 'Vincenzo', everybody turned around.
I'll tell you something else about society in regard to this name.
What I am called.
Under 20 they call me Vinny.
20 to 30 they call me Vince.
30 on, they call me Vincent.
Italians call me Vincenz. No 'o'.
Guy's from Italy call me Enzo.
By what name people use.... you can tell how old they are, and where they come from. |

Well, I see where your coming from Vincenzo.
I have a uncle named Vicenzo too, but we refer to him as Uncle Enzo.
His frieds and family (excluding me) call him Vinny alot.
Yeah, I don't like Vince or Vincent because that's too proper for me. I like Vinnie, plan and simple!
Puts fear in 'em too, MAFIA!! HAHAHAHA!
