...fairly? What ya'll think?

I am not trying to push violence on this board but it would be cool to see someone who has a similar size & step up & have a go at Shaq-Diesel Charles Barley did back when he was playing & he got b#tch slapped around I think, lol!

I understand where Shaq is getting at I also understand what Kobe & Phil Jackson is saying when they said enough-is-enough. However, Shaq does tend to complain a bit for a person at his size.

How else are you suppose to guard an enormous player like him? What, they want touch fouls called on Shaq? haha! I don't agree on coaches & players creating dirty fouls. Dirty fouls should be penalized badly but good hard fouls should be allowed.

When I played basketball in high school, I remember playing teams that played & fouled dirty & I hated them likes, but there was this one team who played defence a lot harder & even rougher than that other team but wasn't dirty & I respected them for that cos it was pure hard nosed basketball!

If you take that away from the NBA then we might as well watch Chess games instead!

I think 3 games is fair. If he had landed the first punch on Miller, I would have given him more than 3 games.

Yeah I would have liked to see Oakley and Shaq go at it in that game instead of Miller. Oakley's big and a tough hard nosed guy. I don't think he's afraid of Shaq. In fact, he helped Shaq off Miller when they got all piled up in the crowd.

Yeah I think he did, hehe. Actually, I remember Shaq said after that game something like, "Barkley's just lucky a pile (of players) went on top of us".

My only answer to Shaq, Kobe and Phil is, "Stop crying and make your free throws, Shaq!" and then they'll stop fouling you. I understand why Shaq did what he did but I think part of it is his own fault because he's so horrible from the charity stripe.

I totally agree which brings me to another point. Why the heck did Miller get a 1-game suspension? He didn't do anything. He had the flagrant foul (and maybe Oakley fouled Shaq harder on that particular play actually) but other than that he didn't do anything wrong. I see other stuff around the league that's harder fouls than Miller on that play and they don't get suspended.

your right ....till shaq makes his free throws....why change the "hack a shaq" defence.......maybe he should toughen up..

i heard that oakley got his major suspension because he's over the allowable flagrant fouls.......

Yeah, Miller was suspended for one game, and Oakley was suspended for two for the flagrant foul that lead to the fight.

I think it was basically fair. He can't be punching people because like someone else on this site said, he could give you brain damage or something.

He has to realize his size and have self control. I understand his frustration.

I think he knows all this and it won't happen again.
