So what do guys think about Vince Carter attending his college graduation at the University of North Carolina the morning before the pivotal Game 7 of the Raptors-Sixers' series?

He's taking some flak for it, but graduation of (High School, College, etc.) is really a once in a lifetime experience so I can't really blame him for doing that.

No, I can't blame him either. But, Game 7 is very important. I mean, he could throw himself off by getting on and off of planes, etc.

Yeah, I don't know. On one hand, it's just a game (basketball). On the other hand, it's also his job since he's getting paid for it.

But then again, since Vince is doing both, he's showing that both are equally important to him.

And in an era where most college basketball players could care less about going to class, Vince going to graduation is something I kind of admire because obviously his education is very important to him and he's showing that. Then again, you could say him going to class and getting the degree is the biggest thing here, not so much the ceremony itself of walking down the graduation isle.

So, I'm still confused either way about which side I should take, hehe. But it will be interesting today to see how he performs under all this pressure. We'll see.

I think it is a good gesture. I agree with Spike, athletes should not take school so lightly.
