Anyone here into more unsusual sports (y'know, not the usual Football, Soccer, Basketball, Baseball etc.).

I love cricket, which makes me unusual amongst my fellow Brits and considered decidedly odd by the rest of the world. Yeah, yeah, I've heard it before - "how can you love a game that takes all day to play??"

I also like grass hockey, but that's about it in terms of 'unusual' and lesser known sports.

Anyone got any others that they like?

I think I would be good at Rugby because I like to jump around and tackle people and stuff.

I play Rugby and believe me it is a lot harder then it looks. And to me it looks really hard.

What is really tough is the runnning. In football you know when to conserve your energy. In rugby you can't do that or at least learn how to do it a different way. Practice starts for me on the 10th of August and I try to run 2 or 3 times a week at the local high school track.

Rugby is our national sport, and so is cricket so i obiously know tons about it and we (New Zealand) are 7-0 this season after Beating the world champions, world number 2 and the Boks last weekend although every world cup we lose dramatically after everyone knows we will win

Yay! Another cricket fan on here!
Have you ever been to see NZ play? I've seen England (my team) play cricket quite a few times. I wanted to go to Lords for the most recent Test series against the West Indies, but I didn't have the £££.

*hangs head in shame at reminder of England's rugby defeat*
Still, even though they've lost a couple of matches recently, they're still the WORLD CHAMPIONS!
