...I rate Scottie Pippen as one of the most underated player in a different level so to speak.
I mean I know he has been recognized to be in the All Star & he has been in the USA team etc. What I'm trying to say though is he is underated in a way that...
I don't think most people understand how good of a a player he really is/was. He doesn't/didn't get the respect of players such as Larry Johnson, Charles Barkley & many many more. I know he isn't 'tops' now but at some stage I can honestly say he was better than MJ! & thats coming from a SERIOUS MJ FAN like myself _________________ ...:::[ I don't like bball, Ohh noo! - I love it, Yeaah!! >img src="images/smiles/icon_smile.gif" alt=""> ]:::... |

Yeah in his prime, Pippen was the best defender in the league bar none. With his long arms and quickness, he could shut down anybody. Usually on the Bulls, you'd hear about Jordan's scoring but Pippen's the guy that was assigned to shut down the opposing teams' best perimeter scorer and Scottie would come through more often than not.
I remember when Latrell Sprewell was here at Golden State back when Spree was in his prime (Sprewell is a little on the downside of his career now) and a game here in Oakland, Scottie just made him look just flat out silly. I think Sprewell was scoreless on him for most of the game. |
