Hi folks,
I was wondering if anyone can tell me the rules/scoring for the game of twenty-one. I have searched the internet and came up dry ... I've found rules for the basketball game HORSE but no luck with twenty-one. Thanks for your help.

I think the game 21 has changed, I mean there are so many different versions all over US & all over the world. The one that I know is lets say there are 3 players on the court & you are one of the players & have the ball, the other 2 have to work together & defend against you.
Lets say you miss your shot, the other player who rebounds the ball isn't allowed to shoot it straight away, he needs to take this out at least the free throw line (some play it out to the 3 point line).
The scoring goes something like: 1 point inside the 3 point line & 2 points from outside the 3. If a player scores, he gets 1 shot from the free throw line, if he makes that, he gets another shot, then if he makes that 2nd shot it goes back to the normal game.
Some street rules is you have to hit a three point shot as the last shot. Like I said, there are so many different versions & mine is probably way off the real one, but thats the one that I know

| The way I always played was you have at least 3 players. If you make a normal basket you get two points. Then you get free throws (we usually did one-and-one) for 1 point each. If you ever have 20 points exactly it acts as poison and you go back to zero points. Also if a missed ball is tipped in having both feet of the ground, the person who missed the shot goes back to zero. As Flipside said there are many versions and you can modify them to whatever you want. |
