I would never call a Lions fan stupid. You support your team through thick and thin and that is what being a fan is all about. When you are down 24-7 in the 4th and you still are rooting for a chance to pull it off, you are a true fan.

I miss the days when people actually cheered for hometown teams.

One of my friends used to root for the Cowboys, Mariners, Penguins, and Magic...

Well, I don't know if I agree with that.

My favorite teams have been the New York Yankees and the Miami Dolphins, since birth. I have never lived in NY, and only lived in Florida for my (first) 4 years. Loyalty is passed on, you see.

Then of course, there is the point that many areas don't have teams. Like, there is 50 states, but only 30 teams and 2 of them are in Canada.

If you ask most people in my school what teams they like, many people like teams just because they're good. It has nothing to do with family or anything. They just like to follow a winner. That annoys me.

I've had to put up with the Mets and Jets for my whole life. The Mets haven't won the NL East in 14 years I think (1988). Thank goodness they started the Wild Card...

Why couldn't my parents raise me a Yankee fan. Then I wouldn't have to complain about them all the time.

That annoys me too, but they aren't fans, they are bandwagon jumpers.

It does annoy me when people hop around teams, etc. as well.
