As the trade deadline approaches, who is your favorite team hoping/rumored to pick up? Rumor for Detroit is for Kasparitus, but the GM hasn't admitted a definite trade yet.

I want the Rangers to get rid of Fleury. Too ba nobody wants a nut case like him..

I would have liked to see Bure on the Rangers too but I'd rather keep York and look forward to next season. Lindros worked out well until he got that 8th concussion..

You can keep that Fleury. Even though Lindros can get hurt at any time he's still a threat every time.

Not a bad game Sunday vs Wings, eh? Is Richter having a hard time after the olympic break or is it the Ranger defence?

It's the defense. It's pretty bad. They've allowed 50 shots on goal several times this season.. They also rank last in penalty killing.

The Rangers got Bure for Novak, Ulanox, and some draft picks. I'm happy with it but the loss of picks will hurt. The Rangers are already an old team. At least they keep York and maybe can make a late run for the playoffs.

I've seen that Bure play and he's a speedy little sniper. Rangers are smart to keep York. Yeah, the team is getting old. They need to get the rookies motivated like the Wings have this year. Fresh legs give the old timers needed rest. The same happened to Colorado last year.

More deals today: http://msn.espn.go.com/nhl/0102tradetracker.html

The Rangers traded Mike York and a draft pick to Edmonton for Tom Poti and Rem Murray.

The Pens traded Kasparitis to the Avs for Nieminen and Berry.

The Columbus Blue Jackets got Jamie Allison.

The Flyers picked up Adam Oates.

I think the Rangers are serious about making the playoffs. They upgraded the offense with Bure and parted with York in favor of upgrading the defense. I'll miss York but the defense had to be improved.

The Flyers also made a good move getting Oates, especially with Roenick being out for 2 weeks.

This just in:

The Devils sent Jason Arnott and Randy McKay to the Stars for Jamie Langenbrunner and Joe Nieuwendyk.

Kasparitus to the Avs????!!!! Aww crap. What are the Stars thinking? I don't understand the Rangers either. Keeping McFleury and trading York? Boy, everyone wants a shot at the Wings. I better shut up. I went to the Wings first playoff game last year and thought they would take it all and look what happend. Get well soon Stevie Y!
