It's not hard to believe, as far as A-Rod. A-Rod's a .279 postseason hitter, which is solid. He's had 3 bad postseason series in a row. Before that, it was much higher. Those 3 postseason series shouldn't be blown out of proportion.
Regarding Vlad as a DH, etc. According to his stats, he's a .294/.358/.518 hitter as a DH. But, that's only in 105 games and 398 at bats. In right field, he's a .327/.394/.584 hitter in 1,489 games and 5,664 at bats. _________________ Patrick O'Keefe - SportsForums.net Administrator

That's true Arrowhead, it's hard to take Vlad's arm out of the outfield. Patrick, you have to take into consideration that AROD's good seasons in the post season came when he played for Texas and Seattle. In both places, the pressure simply cannot compare with the pressure in New York. Yet, I feel that he is dealing with the pressure better because of his recent performance in the post season. _________________ Check out my own sports blog on the Los Angeles Dodgers: http://youngsports.blogspot.com/ |

True, Patrick.
Besides, there is enough pop in that Yankee lineup that someone other than A-Rod should help to score some runs. He carried the team all season, he should get some help in the post season. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |
