If you had to rank your top 5 favorite games, what would they be? Here's my list, well, I did 10 :
10. Madden '98 (PSX) and '01 (PS2)
9. Tetris (not sure, Arcade?)
8. Final Fantasy IX (PSX)
7. World Series Baseball (GEN)
6. Twisted Metal 2 (PSX)
5. RBI Baseball 3 (NES)
4. Ms. PacMan (Arcade)
3. Super Mario Brothers 3 (NES)
2. Final Fantasy VII (PSX)
1. EverQuest (PC)
The systems I (my family) has owned: Atari (56 or 7800 not sure), NES, Sega Genesis, Playstation 1 and 2. And now, XBox, but I never play it.
Although it doesnt reflect on this list much, Im a big fan of the old school NES, Artari days. Those are the days that got me into video games. Games were simpler then and, quite frankly, better. I remember being very young and spending hours playing Pac Man and Pit Fall on the Atari. Those were the days.
I know the top 2 games on my list are both very recent games, but when I played FF7 I was blown away and became an instant RPG fan. Im not sure how many of yall have played EverQuest. But for those of you who have, then you know what I mean. Theres no real way to describe the game, I still miss it today. Its a MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role playing game), that I played off and on for at least 2 or 3 years. But, if youve never played the game, you will never understand the complexities, and the amazement, of this game.
What you guys think of my list? And whats your list? |

Not sure but Tony Hawk 3 (GC) would be on there
Tecmo Super Bowl (SNES) would be up there...not sure what else
If you're an FF fan don't you like FFX? I heard it was amazing. |

Sim City 2000 is cool, 3000 is much better though. I almost put it on my list. Problem with 2000, and 3000 even, is that once you get to a certain point you run out of room in your stupid city and then you are stuck constructing more land over water and soon your entire city has no water and looks stupid. They should make it possible to combine 2 different cities into the same city so you can continually expand.
Command and Conquer is cool too. I liked making maps in the first one (Red Alert). |

Sim City 3000 was better but I never really got into it. When I first bought it, it didn't even run on my computer (P1 200 mhz, 64MB RAM). Since then I played it a few times but it never had the same effect on me as Sim City 2000 did.
I always liked the original Command and Conquer over Red Alert. Red Alert was more popular though and developed a larger following. Maybe it was the story line or something. RA2 isn't bad but Tiberian Sun was horrible..

Tiberian Sun was horrible.
I didnt know that there was one before Red Alert...I thought that was the first. Well, Red Alert was the first one for me then.
And yeah, Sim City 2k had a bigger effect on me then 3k did also, but I still liked 3k better primarily because the map is 4x larger.
Being a big PC game fan you never played EQ? You ever hear about it at all, did it ever interest you? |
