So, even after taking 6 weeks off for personal time - is Tiger still the man to beat at the U.S. Open - or does that now put Tiger a little back in the field and does the title of "Man to Beat" shift to someone else, like Phil (or someone else) who has been playing in competitive tournaments honing their skills for the last 6 weeks?
No doubt Tiger has been playing and practicing - he just hasn't competed against top-tier players for those 6 weeks. _________________ Life Without Sports Isn't Worth Living! |

So Tiger played a "surprse" practice round at Winged Foot yesterday. To avoid the media buzz - at least momentarily - he teed off a half-hour late on the other side of the golf course. But you can bet after people, who were following other players, started noticing who was on the course, they were lined up from tee box to green watching him play. Even the players were excited to see him back on the course. And, according to Jeff Sluman, Tiger will be just fine. His first tee shot - 340 yards right down the middle of the fairway. _________________ Life Without Sports Isn't Worth Living! |
