I know you guys make be sick of hearing about it but i want to know, who do you belive? Roger or his trainer?
My biggest question is during the phone conversation when roger was talking to his trainer and he asked roger "What do you want me to do?" Why didn't Clemens tell him to tell people that he didn't give him steroids. _________________ Colts repeat

I am inclined to believe the trainer at this point. There just seems to be a lot of evidence against Clemens at this point. Things are going to get really interesting on this subject in the coming weeks, when the hearings get started. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

What evidence is there outside of McNamee's testimony? I don't know what to believe, honestly, but I do know that I am not going to label Clemens as anything until someone actually proves something. When someone says something like this that will tarnish someone else's legacy that they've spent more than half of their live building, I believe there needs to be something more than some guy with a questionable history (before he said that Clemens used, he said that he didn't) saying "he did it." That shouldn't make someone's career worthless because anyone can say anything. I don't see why Clemens' word should be worth less than McNamee's here. And I don't take Clemens being productive late into his career as some sort of thing that automatically means steroids, either. He's always worked hard (harder than most, if not virtually all) from what I see and hard work is rewarded. I don't know what happened for sure, but they will have to show me something tangible before they simply strike down someone's entire professional life as worthless. Every person is owed that or more.
In this day and age, I realize it's not the norm or, at least, the reported norm as people like to jump on the negative, perhaps the negative that fits in with some thing they may have thought previously, but when you are going to do such harm to someone's life and livelihood, it's important to be discerning. _________________ Patrick O'Keefe - SportsForums.net Administrator

I don't see much difference between what Clemens has to face now and what Bonds has been facing. At this point, it is basically "my word against his." Things will develop more in the coming weeks, but I don't think that McNamee is lying through his teeth. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

I don't really care anymore about steroids and their effect on baseball. Clemens and Bonds were at the top of baseball until everyone around them starting using and taking over the top spots. If Clemens and Bonds used steroids then they were only doing so to be the best again. _________________ God created the earth in 6 days. And on the Seventh Day He Said, "Let There Be Football." That may be the case, but that doesn't make it right. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |
