Alright, guys. I saw this movie last night after I got off of work. I didnt know what it was going to be about, all that I knew was that it was a horror movie, and I love horror movies. Since I watch so many horror movies, I am not typically shocked by them, they are usually all very cliche. Also, most of them are more funny than scary because you can never figure out why the characters do what they do. Now, I have to say that this movie was very different. This was the scariest, most unpredictable, most demented movie that I have ever seen in my entire life, and will probably ever see.
In short, the movie is about a "movie." But this is no ordinary movie. To begin with, the movie can best be described as "someone's nightmare." It is, maybe, 50 successive little clips that are just creepy, with a very spooky soundtrack. Anyways, when the film is over, the screen turns to static, and then the phone rings. The person on the other line says "You will die in seven days," thats it. And sure enough, after a week of nightmares and hallucinations and just fear, the person is killed, somehow.
Explaining any more will give away too much of this purely frightening movie, but I will say that at no point in this movie will you ever be able to predict what is to happen next. The ending to this one makes the ending to The Sixth Sense look childish.
The acting isnt great, your typical horror movie no-name cast. But the little boy, Aidan, is actually very convincing.
I know that most of you guys dont see movies, and if you do, you wait for it to come out on video. But trust me, if you want the full effect to this movie, go see it in the theatre. I promise you, you will be afraid to go to sleep at night. I am shocked I didnt have nightmares last night.
