You ever considered Launch Plus? I've thought about it, but I can't justify paying for less than they once offered for free.

I usually have it on when I use the computer, and I log about 4 hours a day on my computer. I will not pay for music off the net, except if I could burn it (and even then I wouldn't pay alot).

It is like a radio station, but you can choose what genras it plays and can skip songs if you don't like one. You also can rate songs/albums/artists. The higher the rating, the more of that song/album/artist is played. There also is a never-play button, which keeps the song gone.
Launch Plus is not free, but it doesn't have commericals (they run once every 5-10 songs and are short). I think there is a maximum skip limit on the free (its around 350 songs).
