Well, before last season, the Chiefs were all offense, and no defense. Now, they appear to be the opposite. This is frustrating, being unable to put it together on both sides of the ball. I hope that some free-agent O-linemen become available next season to help the Chiefs get better up front.
The defense was decent against the Texans, I felt. Placekicking was horrible, though, bringing back visions of Lin Elliot (oh, the nightmares!). I am really expecting a dismal season. Hopefully, I am wrong. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

Eddie Kennison also went down with a pulled hamstring, which forced the rookie Bowe into the mix a bit earlier than expected. We'll see what he is made of, I guess. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

Well, I am pretty sure you can count them out of the playoffs this year. They just haven't done enough off-season work to make the team better. The defense will be good, but it won't look as good as it is statistically because they are going to spend so much time on the field.
This thread may turn into my running critique of the Chiefs this season...so be ready for lots of whining. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

Well, the Chiefs have won 2 in a row now, with a suprise (to me) coming against the Chargers, who I really thought would be rolling by now. Tomlinson finally came around, and LJ broke out for 122 yards as well. The real story was the defense, and the emergence of Dwayne Bowe, the rookie wide out. I hope he is the real deal. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

When it comes to Bowe - wow. I'll admit that I thought he wouldn't pan out. _________________ The Site

I just hope he isn't a flash-in-the-pan kind of guy. He has the tools to be great, and having a great young receiver like him around for a long time would help the team. Last great Chiefs receiver: Stephone Paige. We need another. Tony Gonzalez has been spending too many years getting beat up catching short passes over the middle, and he can't take it too much longer. Having a legitimate threat that can stretch the field out will take some of the hits away from him. Gonzo isn't quite as quick as he used to be, and isn't jumping quite as high, either. He is still great, but needs some help. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

From what I saw from Printers, he has a lot of talent, but is too raw. He seemed to be to caught up in trying to play well and would forget about all the little things you have to do. _________________ The Site
