did any chiefs fans like what they saw from casey printers. big printers fan here. just intested in people's thoughts. congrats tony gonzalez. he is a classic. i like the chiefs too.

I thought that Printers could have had as good a chance as Croyle and Huard at starting this year, to be honest. He has been in the system for some time now, and he has talent, and CFL experience. In the end, it will be Croyle's team, but I think Printers could back up down the road. Perhaps there is something he doesn't have, and the coaches have seen it.

I missed my post last week, so will sum up here.

It was a disappointing showing at Arrowhead against the Jaguars, and Croyle saved them from the shutout. They bounced back well this week, to my surprise. I knew the D would play well, but I was worried about the offense struggling, and leaving the D out there too long, resulting in a tired, beaten team. The O played well, LJ put up his 2nd 100+ yard game, and Gonzalez breaks the TE touchdown record. Good week.

After the way the season has started, the Chiefs may have a chance in the AFC West, after all.

I am not a big KC fan but I love football altogether, to see them make a few big games would be nice.

The problem is they have so much time between their build up period they lose focus on the other side of the ball! I think they should just take a break and dedicate a whole year to rebuilding the whole team!

This is happening, but it just takes more than a year. The main concern now, the way that I see it, is the offensive line. If they could pick up a Left Tackle, and a Guard, I think it would help immensely. They need to be thinking about replacements for Watters and Weigman as well. They had it good with the aging but still awesome tandem of Roaf and Shields, but they should have known that those guys weren't going to be around forever. I was also not keen on the idea of releasing Tony Richardson, either. The logic behind that move was that Edwards doesn't like to use a full back. I think I would have made that adjustment. After all, it is basically the same offensive system that Saunders had while he was there.

Hopefully, they shore up the line in next year's draft/free agent market.

The Chiefs took home a road win against the Raiders this week, and this game also marked the return of Priest Holmes to the Chiefs lineup. Priest looked ok. I think it may take him a few more games to get in the swing of things, but he may be able to contribute this year. LJ looked good, and managed his 3rd 100 yard game, and 2nd in a row. I would like to see some 2 back sets with Priest and LJ in the game more often down the road.

I thought Priest looked really good. Especially when he got that first down sweeping to the left. If he can get going on those sweeps, expect Larry to bust through the tackles and regain form. This could be big if Priest is effective.

I thought he looked good as well. Over the next few weeks, he should improve. If he comes along, it will be a great comeback story. He would be a great change of pace back to compliment LJ, who should not worry about losing his job. If the line can come together, it will be great for both.

That is a great story if he can get back to where he was. The one-two punch w/LJ is tough for defenses. With the AFC West being up for grabs, his boost could be the Chiefs' edge.

Good point. The AFC West is weak. The Chiefs could be a sleeper.

I hope so. The way the Broncos played last week makes me think that perhaps the giant has awoke. We will see, though. Gotta stay positive!
