Does anyone else notice that this year's hailed trophy race doesn't have any spark to it? Last year it was a three horse race with Leinart, Bush, and Young and was something exciting, but this year it seems like it is deflated and boring. Garett Wolfe ignited some flare with the race by destroying opponents with superb rushing ability, but then one bad game along with the Div. II aspect has blockaded his trip to NYC. If it goes to Troy Smith, hurrah, woo, yay... BORING! I hope something comes out of left field to make this interesting or even intriguing, otherwise, I might take the status quo approach and bash the BCS.

Yeah people are calling the Heisman race the Troy Smith race. I would be surprised if he didn't win it, but there are actual candidates in the running. Brady Quinn in another year could definitely win the trophy, and I could see either Slaton or White from WVU or Rice from Rutgers taking the trophy in a year or two to come.

What about Darren McFadden? He has rushed for over 1000 yards this year as a sophmore in the SEC. I don't think he will be a factor this year but in years to come....(i'm not trying to be a homer either)

Here's the ESPN Heisman Watch. I'm pretty impressed that Colt McCoy is ranked that high. I never thought of until I looked at the stats, but he already has more passing TDs this year than Vince Young had all of last year.

But Vince Young didn't need to pass the ball.....good job by Colt though.
