After 58 consecutive victories by the U.S.A. in international competition since they started using N.B.A. players (since the Dream Team in the 1992 Olympics), Argentina upset them tonight 78 to 70 at the World Championships in Indianapolis.

Ouch.

Lost again. Very bad. The loss to Yugo wasn't as bad, but compiled with an earlier loss and it is particularly bad.

I think it's good that the US lost because it might get the better players to actually play. And the competition is getting better so it makes events like these watchable. :]

We won a game, only by ten points though. Now we're playing in the fifth place game.

lol

We have gotten so used to winning all the time in international play, I think it is good for us to get a reality check that we arent invincible or anything.

We lost the fifth place game.

I still feel we are basically invincible, we just can't get complacent, that's all. With the talent on that team, even though its not the greatest they should be winning. We need some of the more talented guys to take more pride in their country by playing in these games as well.

The players need to be more focused when going into events like these and think of them as playoff type games, not as a all-star type games.
