Hello,

As I posted at the league site, an excerpt from an e-mail I sent to Matt.

Quote:

I feel the trade is so unfair
that it warrents being rejected. I am under the impression that Manning is
the backup QB in NY, Williams is no higher than 2nd (probably 3rd) WR in
Jacksonville, Foster is the 2nd RB in Carolina and Dayne is the 2nd or 3rd
RB in NY. If any of this is incorrect, please let me know.

Driver is one of the top 2 WRs in Green Bay who has a good QB in Brett
Favre. Portis is widely considered to be a top 5 guy including any guy you
can draft at any position.

With all of this info in mind, I believe the trade is so unfair that it
warrents being rejected. If any of what I said is incorrect (maybe there are
some injuries I am unaware of, as I don't pay that much attention), let me
know and I will review the situation and let you know if you can repropose
the trade or not.

Thank you.

Nice Trade between Andy Bronco and Pat, Andy Broncos 2 and 6 picks for Pats 10 and 15 picks sounds fair to me.

Although I do feel that it is to my advantage, the trade is not unfair enough to be rejected. A trade that is "unfair" will not be rejected. That is the nature of trading - one side gets better, one side improves more. I haven't had to reject trades very often. I rejected one in the entire fantasy baseball season. It has to be very blatant. The one trade I rejected in fantasy baseball was Roy Halladay, Carlos Beltran and Aramis Ramirez for Carlos Lee, Aaron Rowland, Jeff Suppan and Phil Nevin. These are the types of trades that will get rejected.

The position taken in our draft doesn't really matter that much. Ricky Williams would be considered a 3 then. Besides - you were hot after Moe Williams. So, let's just take it easy here.

Thank you.

I think the trade that was vetoed should have been let go.

Driver had a bad year last year and there is no indication that he will do good. Especailly now that Jevon Walker is the top guy.

Dayne will play a lot more and will be there in short yardage touchdowns. (If they get any) He will have just has many carries as Barber.

If these 2 team would like to make that rade then so what.

In a perfect world, yes, if two teams want to trade, then so what. But, sometimes there are trades made that hurt the league because of their unfairness and trades of that nature are to be rejected. This won't change. But, I believe I do a pretty good job.

Anyway, the trade being rejected was less about Driver and more about Portis. When a consensus top 5 guy gets traded, that trade is going to be scrutinized more so than other trades to make sure that there is some value going to the other side.

While you may disagree with me, know that I am not singling anyone out or going after anyone - just doing what I think is best for the league.

Thanks.

Portis being a top 5 guy is your opinion. He is now in Washingtion where the running game over the past couple of years in questionable at best.

Besides it wont help either team. Neither will win the league.
