I think they should have kept Avery Johnson if they are going to replace him with Carlisle.....I don't see this as an improvement and I don't think this roster suits Carlisle's coaching style.

I agree. Carlisle's postseason career isn't any better than Johnson's, and he hasn't proved to be any better in the regular season, either. I don't see how it is an upgrade.

Not to mention even when the guy won in the regular season both Detroit and Indiana still dumped him.

The Mavericks, along with the Suns, are headed downward. I am a big Suns fan and disappointed they lost to S.A. last season. It was their year to win and they blew it.

he will prolly do a pretty good job in his first season with them, since they are still in johnson's way of working...........but going into the 2nd year we'll see how they really work with carlisle

hes basically just like avery johnson from what ive seen and heard, but he has a great resume and got along well with dirk.
