"The NCAA will reveal later Thursday that the Alabama football program must vacate victories from 2005 through 2007 that included players who improperly obtained free textbooks for other students, The Birmingham News is reporting."
I know it is a legitimate violation, but it sounds pretty ridiculous. Not that it means a whole lot to "vacate victories", but this violation seems rather minor, wouldn't you say? I tend to think that much more severe violations go unnoticed, but don't worry, the NCAA will get you for taking free textbooks. _________________ Love the Mavs, Cowboys, and Rangers, but live out on the West Coast...

I don't know. Its legit, according to the way the regs are layed out, but I think that there are a lot more serious things that go on, and likely don't get talked about. In the end, its wrong, and now they pay for it.
What I don't think is fair is that the football program, with only 7 athletes involved, is taking the most public scrutiny, were there are nearly 200 more athletes invovled from other programs at the school. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |
