I don't know how good of a move this is, or if it makes the Patriots that much better. The Patriots were getting older last year, and signing Lynch doesn't make them much younger. He was a great player, but if Denver didn't want him, it makes you wonder how much he has left.

The Pats already have Rodney Harrison so I don't really see how they could use Lynch.

They could use Lynch at Free safety in running situatoins, but he's really just another Linebacker, and he has a leadership quality about him (as if the patriots need another leader lol) and when he steps onto the field you can feel his presence as an offensive player.

Also, one more point i thought of, the pats had some trouble stopping the run last year, a linebacker/safety hybrid like lynch could help with that in certain situations.

Belichick also said that there's a chance, that he would be re-signed which i could see happening.

I was kind of stumped by that one. We'll see if they get him back. I would think that at some point they would consider getting younger...
