I think the Yankees will, because I think that they will be the most willing to give up what the Twins want, in the end. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

Its sounding more and more now like the Twins may keep ahold of him until next July, and try to win with him. I think that is the way to go. That, and the trade deadline push may make for the potential of better deals available to the Twins. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

Yeah, it sort of looks like the Twins are going to hold on to him until the trade deadline.
That's kind of risky if you think of it. Sure you could win some games with him, stay in the playoff race then get a big trade at the deadline. There's some decent deals on the table right now. If Johan gets hurt the Twins will end up with nothing. |

This is true, but the rewards may outweigh the risks in this situation. Johan usually stays healthy, and will probably be his normal Cy-Young-self by the time the trade deadline rolls around, making him worth even more to potetial penant-runners looking to make that dynamite pick-up before the trade deadline is up. I think that this can work in the Twins favor, raising the bar even further for a bigger trade. It may also bring more teams into the deal. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |
