The Braves resigned John Smoltz for 3 years. Several teams offered for him to start for them but I guess he liked the Braves proposal better. Looks like he'll keep his role as closer.

Good news for the Braves. If they can get him to be happy with his closing position, they can be dangerous. I like Smoltz as a closer.

Yeah, I was hoping he'd be a Yankee, but obviously staying with one team for his career is an alluring opportunity.
