Should the Wizards break up the current team line up to get a decent low post player like Rasheed Wallace? Or should they keep what they have now & see what it can do in the Play-offs?
I think both ways is a high risk. Depending on who they get off course. I mean if they got someone like C-Webber or T-Duncan calibre then thats a totally different story, but thats impossible. The closest they have is Rasheed Wallace in which sometimes can be stopped by players like Robert Horry?
What ya'll think everyone? Its like a poker game, should they stand or hit?

Well I would say don't trade for a post player unless you can get a steal.
And don't trade for Rasheed Wallace because he's still a head case. Actually, I haven't heard that much this year about him getting a lot of technicals so I was thinking that Mo Cheeks making him team captain has made him more mature. But then I asked somebody else about that and he said that Rasheed is still getting a lot of technicals. So no I wouldn't get him especially since the Wizards are playing well overall right now.
And yeah I guess this team could use a dominant low post player but since the Wizards are in the Eastern Conference and there's not a lot of good frontline talent on the teams out there, I think it's okay that the Wizards not have a low post player.
If the Wizards were in the West and they had to deal with the likes of Webber, Duncan, Robinson, Shaq, and Malone that would be another story. But since the Wizards are playing well right now, I say stand pat for now. |

Are you sure Spike, cos as much as I trust Jordan that he will bring his team to another level by Play-offs (hoping they would make it) I'd feel safer with at least 1 sure threat/help down low, not just offensively but defensively.
Also, does the Wizards have the $$$ to get a decent player anyway?
I mean after hearing a quote from MJ, "we have a lot of work to do, if the Wolves were in the East, they would be dominating right now!" That just tells you how much better the West is than the East!
Lastly, which players are available right now & who would want to go to the Wizards is another good question? |

Well if somebody's available I would take him but I wouldn't put a big risk on it because they are in the East. I don't know who's available except maybe Wallace which we've talked about before.
Hey, though, I'm a Warriors' fan and what do you think of Marc Jackson? He plays center and power forward for us. Would you want him? He's unhappy here because we matched the offer sheet he had signed with Houston this past offseason.
He can score and rebound. He needs to work on more post moves. But he's got a nice outside shot for a big man which is rare and nice when you're playing a team with a shot blocker and need to bring that guy out from underneath the basket.
I have to admit he is a bad defender though. He needs to work on that too but since he wants out the Warriors will probably give him up cheap.

Well they got rid of the contracts of Rod Strickland, Mitch Richmond and the huge one of Juwan Howard (kudos to Michael Jordan the G.M. for that one) so they should have some money under the cap.

I was thinking before if the Jazz had still been struggling, I would have tried to get Karl Malone. I know he's old but he's still a great low post scorer who plays defense and his toughness rubs off on other people. But since Utah is playing better that's probably out.
Um, other than that I don't know who's available. |

Marc Jackson has a good weight in 270 pounds and at 6'10. He could bang well with players like Shaq down low. I would like a player who is at least 7'0 feet though, unless its someone like Alonzo Mourning but lets be realistic, the Wiz can't get him. Back to your center Spike, yeah I like Marc Jackson, he is a tough player but I still see him as a young developing player |
