Now that the Jayhawks have gone 10-0, should they take over the #1 spot in the BCS rankings? I am not sure they will, but I think that if they beat Missouri coming up, then they should.
What do you think? Is their schedule too weak? They didn't have a tough Big 12 South schedule this season, but they have been winning big a lot.

If they win out, they will play for the national title. The rankings right now don't mean squat.

| Yes they should, I think they would lose head-to-head with LSU, Oregon, Oklahoma, Missouri, and WVU. But they are unbeaten in the Big 12 |

This reason is exactly why college football needs a playoff.

Well, Hawaii is undefeated as well, but there is no race to put them at the top of the rankings. I think that schedule strength has to come into play at some point. However, I don't think that the inability to schedule stronger opponents every year should come back to bite a team that wins its conference or has a great season, like Hawaii is having. College football always ends up with the biggest collection of "what if" questions at the end year. The playoff would answer many of these questions.
On a side note, Oregon got beat by Arizona last night, so that opens up the door for a new #2, which I think will clearly be Kansas, at this point. If Kansas beats Mizzou, I think that seals them up in the #2 spot, for certain.

| Yep. The only one that matters for the Jays is the Mizzou game. Even if they lose to OU in the Big 12 Title Game, I still think they deserve to play LSU or whoever else might take over if the Tigers lose. |

I think you have a good arguement. I think OU still played in the title game after losing the Big 12 championship to Kansas State a few years ago. It appears that if you are going to lose a game, you need to do at the beginning of the season, because late season losses always bring a team down more. It isn't right, but it is the way it is.

pretty much......i mean boise state was undeated even after their bowl game, and they didnt even get a chance to play for a title...........which i thought was stupid

I think you are right. Boise State deserved a shot for the National Title, for sure. I don't think they got a fair shake.
