With the site down for a week, we all missed talking about one of the greatest individiual weeks in professional baseball history.

After hitting 4 HRs against the Brewers in one game, he continued to hit 7 in 3 days, setting a new record. This is simply an amazing feat.

This week has definitely brought Green into the spotlight. We are all used to seeing Sammy and Barry hit homer after homer, but having Shawn Green surpass everyone for just one week was nice.

Yeah I'm kind of surprised that Shawn Green has been this successful this year without Gary Sheffield batting behind him.

Well, Brian Jordan has been anything but disapointing.

I was watching a Dodger game (at least an inning or two of it) a couple days ago and they walked Green to get to Jordan and then Jordan proceeded to hit a 2-run homer. That seems like pretty good protection to me.

One at bat doesn't mean anything Justin. Can't believe you said that.

Brian Jordan has been doing well though.

I wasnt basing my entire opinion on that at-bat, it was an example. Obviously a player's season is not definied by one at-bat.

I based my opinion on the fact that Jordan's season has been more productive than Sheffield's season.

I know you weren't. But, you just said that after watching that one at bat, it seems like good production to you.

So, who would you rather have? Jordan or Sheff? I'd take Sheffy, I've always liked him, I also don't think he has gotten enough credit for the solid numbers that he has put up.

Well, I didnt say good production I said good protection.

And between Jordan and Sheff Id take Jordan any day but thats based solely on my biased hatred for Sheffield after he openly insulted San Diego when he left here. And Jordan is the type of person that everyone seems to enjoy playing around.
