Tonight marked the beginning of the 2002-2003 NHL season. As of right now, only one game has ended. The Rangers defeated the Canes 4-1 with Messier and Nedved each scoring two goals. Leetch, Poti, and Lindros each added 2 assists also.

I'm pretty happy about this start. We don't even have Bure back yet.

The Rangers lost their last two games by scores of 4-1 and 6-0... Lindros, Bure, and Blackburn all missed the last game.

I really hate those west coast games the Wings have to play at. Start times are too late for me to stay up.

I really wish I watched hockey more - it is a great sport, and it is fun to watch. I just need to get into it.

Well Bure continues his hot streak. He's scored every game this season for the Rangers with one coming from a penalty shot last night. It's too bad the Rangers had to settle for a tie.

Tampa has been a suprise so far and Philly looks real good also.

Richter's GAA is killing my fantasy hockey points. Do the Rangers have any defense or is he just giving up the soft goals?

Defense? nope

Bure only plays offense while Poti and Leetch are better in the offensive zone.

Finally the much anticipated Carlo Colaiacovo will play his first NHL game! Will he succeed and play another day in the NHL or fail and return to the minors, tonight is his time, and I hope he does Great
