Washington Redskin's safety Sean Taylor is in critical condition after being shot Monday morning at his home in Miami: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7490604

Hopefully, he recovers fully.

Unfortunately, he has passed away. Very sad. My thoughts are with those close to him.

As Patrick has said, he has died but what infuriates me right now are all the reporters and media saying that he deserved and should of expected dieing because of his background. This was a man with an 18 month old daughter that was in the process of turning his life around. Why can't the media turn and instead of looking at all the bad just let a great football player rest in peace and hopefully catch the scum that shot him. Im sorry for venting it just seems that since he was shot the media only looked to the negative instead of looking at what positive features he had in real life.

Rest in Peace Sean Taylor

I haven't seen or heard any media types saying things like that, but it's a shame if they are.

Such a senseless thing for someone to do.

I have not seen such news put forth either.

The reports stated that the gunshot severed his femoral artery, and he lost a ton of blood. They were hopeful at first, but things changed.

RIP.
