this was a couple days ago, but good for KC for not letting this one go
bad for KC for being, well, stupid. the royals opted out of a 6 year $66M extension where Sweeny could not leave, for a 5 year $55M extension but he can leave if the Royals finish under .500 in '03 or '04. the Royals are just delaying the inevitable if they cant bring some talent in, and fast. |
