| He gets the all-time runs record, is 2 hits short of 3000 (last i heard anyways), has hit somewhere in the vicinity of 300 homers, broke the stolen base record 10 years ago!! The guy is amazing. There truly is no other player like him in the history of baseball. Congrats to Rickey. |

| He's had an amazing career, and he loves the game, he will be around for at least a couple more years. |

He has so many records and he just got 3,000 hits today. He's still doing pretty well for 42..

Yes I watched his 3000th hit yesterday along with the hour-long Tony Gwynn celebration after the game. I should have gone to the game, I don't know why I didn't.
But yes, Rickey is easily one of the greatest all-around players of all time. |

How did you not go to Gwynn's last game?

Well...Tony's last game was supposed to be in LA, before the attacks on the WTC, and by the time it was announced when the final game was going to be, the game had very few tickets left as it was
...and i dont really have the cash right now anyways hehe
hey i was at his first home game after his 3000th hit, with a big celebration then, so that makes up for it, right?
