There is no doubt he is very talented and has experience but this guy has some screws loose. One of my teachers met him and he kept talking in the third person.

| yeah i was shocked to read that the pads put him on what Yahoo! Sports called 'special wavers' whatever the hell that is...i would think that havin such a distinguished veteran in the dugout would be positive to the young padres...and with rickey chasin those milestones (like 3k hits), he must be bummed to not have the opportunity to play |

It doesn't make sense.
Sadly, though, a lot of Padres personnel decisions don't make sense.

rickey played today, looked strong, worked the count well, is on a 6game hitting streak, had at least 1 SB today (i only saw game through 4th inning)...did they take him off waivers or somethin?
what is that 'special waivers' as Yahoo! called it? |

too bad the streak ended last night
but im sure hes not goin anywhere for a while...i mean, hes playin better right now than nomar, big mac, and griffey!  |
