I have been follwoing hockey for a while, but I have no idea what the +/- of a player means. You know when you see a players stats, how there is a +/- coloum, what does this mean?

+ is when that player's team scores a goal at even strength when that player is on the ice.
- is when the other team scores a goal while at even strength when that player is on the ice.
