In the east : Ottawa, case closed.
In the west : Between Vancouver, Detroit and Dallas.
Colorado is too far behind, and St-Louis are 4 points behind with a tough schedule, so forget about them (Detroit twice, Dallas, Minnesota, Edmonton, Chicago twice, Colorado and Florida)
I don't think Detroit will make it as they have the toughest schedule of the three I mentioned (St-Louis twice, Minnesota twice, San Jose plus average to mediocre teams)
Dallas and Vancouver have similar schedules, but Dallas has a game in hand, plus they're a better team imo. So Dallas in the west.
Now for the president's trophy :
Dallas vs. Ottawa
Ottawa has the toughest schedule between the two, but they have a 3 point advance, they are gonna play washington twice (Which wants to win because they wanna finish first, ahead of T-Bay), Colorado, Boston (New coach = boost), Toronto, Atlanta, Florida, and the greatest of them all : Mtl (yeah right).
Very hard to say, but since Dallas does not meet Ottawa til the end, I'll pick the sens.
Then again Ottawa plays 3 at home, 5 on the road.
Dallas plays 5 at home, 3 on the road.
This is irrelevant to great teams like them because they are good anywhere, anytime. |
