Who cares how many yards you give up? It's all about winning. The Jets implemented a "bend but don't break" system, which was pretty effective. They would still give up a good amount of yardage, but opponents would settle for field goals most of the time. _________________ -Wedge231 chris@c-wod.com

i would think its kinda an honor to know that your team gave up the least amount of yards in the league of the best teams in the whole world. But it is about winning. so if u want to use that escuse then this whole topic is completly meaningless _________________ My teams

I'm a big fan of statistics. However, I find that they don't tell the whole story the majority of the time. _________________ -Wedge231 chris@c-wod.com

Bah. Defenses should be ranked on the points they allow.
Wins are a statistic, too. _________________ Justin Lieber |

Yeah, points is what it all comes down to.
Remember the game where the Texans had less than 100 total yards but still beat the Steelers? _________________ -Wedge231 chris@c-wod.com

Yep. They did all their scoring on defense, though. _________________ Justin Lieber |

thats where the points against are flawed. If your offensethrows an interception and gets it ran back all the way or even into the redzone. All those points get charged to the defense when really the offense is at fault _________________ My teams

Those points don't count in fantasy football...
Yards against is flawed when you give up 200 yards in a game or two yet do well in all the others. _________________ -Wedge231 chris@c-wod.com

Actually, yeah they do Wedge.
What they need to do is rank the defenses based on points scored by opposing offenses. Why they don't, I have no clue. _________________ Justin Lieber |
