I think it'll probably be Dick Gephardt, but I'm pushing for Wesley Clark. I'm not a big Kerry fan myself, but maybe if he chooses Clark as his running mate it might stop me from voting for a 3rd party candidate.

He picked Edwards, the first-term senator from North Carolina.

He's a good, optimistic speaker and actually has a personality.

Yeah, I guess from a campaign standpoint it helps because it will help Kerry gain some votes in the south. He seems alright, but to tell you the truth I really don't know all that much about him.

What I want people to think about is this... If Kerry does get elected... do you think that hes gonna be able to pull all of our troops out of the middle east? He wont be able to, that will defeat all the progress we have slowly made over there. I mean Kerry uses the war for his advantage... and if he was in Bush's shoes at the time... theres no doubt in my mind he wouldnt have done the same things. America is in a time of war right now... and its not gonna change for awhile.

Well it'd be tough to just pull all the troops out now at this point and then pretend as if the whole thing never happened. I think there was really no need to go in there, but now that they're there, they need to finish up what they started. I'm not sure how John Kerry would handle it because he seems to have mixed views on the issue. He kind of just tends to go with whatever the general public opinion is at the time so he can win votes. I don't know if he would've done everything the same as Bush did in regard to the war in Iraq, but he might have. At the time he was saying he was in favor of the campaign.

The only thing i like about kerry is Edwards... this man is a good politician. I wish he won the democratic nod, but i still hope bush wins in the end... i feel kerry will make too many mistakes in the long run in iraq.

Did he say he'd pull troops out? I was thinking he said he'd pull out troops as soon as he could, which is what Bush has said, too. Kerry made some pretty damning statements as far as Suddam Hussein, weapons, etc. and since he supported it, I believe that you probably have to imagine that he would have went into Iraq. I mean, he might say otherwise now, but... like Seamus said, he wants votes (which every politician needs, of course).
