This guys just keeps going. I'm surprised to see him get 3 years, but everyone must be confident that he'll be around. I think football keeps him going. _________________ www.chiefswarpath.com |

The way I look at it is that as a head coach of ANY sport (especially if
you've been with the same team) you can and will get better in time. I've
been a Chicago Bear fan since 1965 and Halas (at that time) was already into his 35th year as head coach/founder and during which time he was a player in the Decatuer days. Although '63 was his last championship, the talent was really never ther again as far as a FULL talented team. There were the glimpses of Galimore, Sayers & Butkus but nothing that compared to the earlier days. Just not that much talent until "Iron" Mike's
tenure.
You have no idea what it was like being a Bears fan in the 60's and early 70"s ...rooting for Concannon and then Bobby Douglass. Man, those were some hard years. _________________ Great sports forums with knowledgable fans. |
