This looks good on paper for the Padres. They pick up Edmonds, who is normally solid, after a down year for a minor leaguer and cash. Will it pay off for them? How much does Edmonds, who tends to beat himself over the course of a season, have left in the tank?

i will admit that edmonds is getting old, but cmon.......i still think hes worth at least 2 minor leaguer and some cash, he really helped the cardinals with their world series season.....and i thought he was great with albert pujols

Yeah, I thought so too. Perhaps that shows how lucky the Padres go with this pick up.
