... to pick who's going to the next round (plus comments)???
1] Lakers vs San Antonio
2] Hornets vs New Jersey
3] Detroit vs Celtics
4] Sacramento vs Dallas
Is that it? Did I miss anything?
1] Lakers - Although I'd love SA to win! With D-Rob being injured its going to be even tougher!
2] New Jersey - Just because - This is a 50-50 for me as the last time Charlotte proved me wrong, so they might do it again to me for voting against them lol!
3] Detroit - Because I hate Celtics for beating my 76'ers haha - nah plus I love the way the entire Pistons are playing.
4] Sacramento - Because SPIKE would kill me if I said Dallas , nah not just that, its because I think they have a better chance of beating the Lakers than the Mavs if they reach the finals!

I'll agree with you about the Nets and the Pistons. Nets are too deep for the Hornets without Mashburn. The fact that they are going back to the Hive will make little to no difference. As long as the Celtics don't catch fire like they did in game 5 against the Phillies, I don't think they can penetrate the Piston defense.
As far as your picks in the west are concerned, I am going to pick SA over LA for two reasons: Duncan defends Shaq much better than most believe he can and for the simple fact that I can't stand any of the Lakers (except for Horry). I would absolutely love for the Kings to beat the Mavs, but I just don't think it will happen. I have never seen a team run as well or as much as Dallas. The have the bench depth to keep fresh bodies running the floor. Kings like to run, but I don't think Divac and Pollard can keep up. Thus, they will not be much of a factor in a fasted paced game. I will have to say that Dallas will win in 6 (but I hope I am wrong) |

haha yeah I dislike the Lakers too, I actually thought I would like them a little bit better when Phil Jackson moved to LA but I ended up hating him now for some weird reason
However as I said before on this forum I don't hate them as individuals but as a whole I dislike them dramatically lol

Nope, you got it. That's it.

Oh nice job there, Flipside.

Yup, I got to go with the Lakers as well. I think they'll win in 5 games. David Robinson's absence on the defensive end will catch up with them eventually I think.

My original pick I have to say was Charlotte in 7. Charlotte's up 14 in Game 3 right now so I'll have to stick with them.

I don't know. I think the Celtics just have too much firepower in Paul Pierce and Antoine Walker (especially Pierce who I think is better than Walker) for the Pistons who tend to have Jerry Stackhouse and Uncle Cliffy disappear in the postseason. I say Pistons in 7.

Hehe, that's okay man. You can pick the Mavericks if you want. About 90 percent of the stuff I've read on the Internet that isn't Kings' related is picking Dallas so I guess the Kings will just have to go out and prove everybody wrong.
I pick the Kings in 7 because the Mavericks have a little better offense than the Kings but the Kings have more than a little better defense than the Mavericks.

Me too because the Mavericks don't play any defense at all and the Kings do.
And welcome to sportsforums.net, Seeff. I hope you post here more. |

It looks like three of my pics are going to be wrong. Unless Dallas, SA, or the Pistons can pull out three straight.
I am very glad to see the Kings winning. Nash had a terrible game 4 and that cost them dearly.
I about started to cry watching Stackhouse throw up all those bricks. I thought Cliff was the choke artist, but Stack is proving me wrong.
As far as D-Rob is concerned, I love the guy, but Shaq was less effective when D-Rob wasn't playing. Duncan has done a better job on the big guy than anyone I've seen. With Dave back, Duncan won't be guarding him much. At least Parker has shown his true worth. What a surprise |
